Fertilization Technician Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Fertilization Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and diagnose turf and landscape plant issues and diseases. Recommend treatments and repairs as needed to customers;
- Restock service vehicles/trailers with parts accurately and efficiently daily;
- Maintain and apply fertilizers and chemicals to lawns, landscape plants and trees;
- Manage and track daily route;
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
Requirements:
- Ability to process and understand instructions offered in various forms, including written, oral, diagram, or schedule;
- Must be able to work 5 – 6 days a week;
- Drug test and Background check required;
- Valid driver’s license. MVR must reflect company standards;
- License and/or certification as required by federal, state or local government;
- Must have or be able to obtain a DOT medical card;
- Self-starter;
- Automobile insurance carried at the minimum level required by the state of residence;
- Application License required;
- Significant knowledge and experience in operating common irrigation equipment;
- Willingness to work long hours to get the job done on time;
- Prior lawn care experience with a commercial or residential company is preferred;
- Must have experience in the fertilizer/chemical applications field;
- Perform the most physical task on the job-site for at least one hour per day including heavy lifting;
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
