Stacker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Stacker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve stock as necessary to fill orders;
- Receive and store all finished goods produced by manufacturing;
- Ensure shipments are packed properly and protected against damage in transit;
- Stencil cartons or attach labels as required by customers;
- Assist drivers in loading stock weighing 10 to 50 pounds on trailers;
- Read and comprehend schematics, manufacturer manuals and guidelines to perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts, computers, and carts;
- Ability to operate a forklift safely in a manufacturing location following all established rules and policies regarding forklift operation;
- Repack stock as needed, keep department clean and well organized.
Requirements:
- Must maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers;
- Ability to operate bar code scanners along with knowledge and use of tracking, labeling and barcoding software;
- Minimum 18 years of age;
- Must enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed;
- Have a minimum of 1 -3 months of related experience and be able to work a 12 hour shift;
- Fluency in the English language read, speak and write;
- Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability;
- Possess basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide;
- Be able to lift and move up to 50lbs. periodically during shift when necessary;
- Possess a high school diploma or GED;
- Pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen.
