Configuration Management Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Configuration Management Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Up to 10% travel may be required;
- Experience in populating a CMDB, including knowledge of reconciliation methods;
- Identify and document the functional and physical characteristics of configuration items;
- Establish disciplined technical and administrative direction and surveillance over the life cycle of configuration items;
- Control changes to configuration items and their related documentation;
- Audit configuration items to verify conformance to specifications, drawings, interface control documents, and other contract requirements;
- Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field;
- 1 yr. using Windchill preferred;
- Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals;
- Refers to policies and practices for guidance;
- Create Material Masters, Change Masters and Data Information Records in our MRP system;
- General application of concepts and principles. Qualifications;
- 1- 2 yrs. of Configuration Management experience;
- Successful experiences with quality assurance, quality control, and team leader responsibilities;
- Metrics creation and reporting.
Requirements:
- Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance;
- Travel may be required for this position;
- Prior experience with Navy Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) databases;
- Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce.com;
- Must be a US Citizen;
- Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines;
- BA/BS degree (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree);
- Experience with SharePoint, SubVersion, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence);
- Demonstrated ability as good communicator capable of producing documentation and interacting well with others;
- Must be able to obtain a SECRET or above security clearance;
- 0-2 years of Configuration Management, Data / Document Management, or software development experience;
- Detail oriented – focus on accuracy of records, data, and reports;
- Significant experience in Microsoft Office © – Excel and Word;
- Ability to be well organized and follow processes.
