Data Scientist, Machine Learning Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Data Scientist, Machine Learning to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing cutting edge machine learning and other data science solutions;
- Optimizing and customizing Coursera’s search algorithms (e.g., personalization, localization);
- Developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to recommend the right learning products and content to each learner;
- Collaborating with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to build the next generation of content discover;
- Liaise with different teams for implementation;
- Performance evaluation & fine tuning of model output;
- Drive end to end Analytics projects and assuring delivery of appropriate solutions in support of business objectives;
- Manage Project Deliverable’s as per timelines;
- Develop, validate & test of Machine Learning and deep learning Algorithm;
- Responsible for managing resources and provides direction to the project team members for handling the business problem with the appropriate approach;
- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques.
Requirements:
- Experience in advanced data science techniques and tools, machine learning, supervised/unsupervised learning, etc;
- Experience with UNIX, Python, C++, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras;
- Experience and enthusiasm in applying data science and machine learning to molecular sciences or drug discovery;
- Strong track record of research accomplishments including three or more scientific publications or conference presentations;
- Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary team environment;
- Strong programing skills (e.g., in Python);
- Strong Machine Learning skills;
- Familiarity with consumer internet, especially in search and discovery, preferred;
- Deep applied Statistics and modeling skills;
- 2+ years industry experience preferred;
- Excellent communication and project management skills;
- Proficient with SQL and relational databases;
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and deep learning algorithms;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field;
- Good programming skill and experience with Python packages.
