Senior Data Scientist, Machine Learning Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Data Scientist, Machine Learning to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Instructor-facing features to support learners at scale (e.g., machine-assisted grading and feedback);
- Learner Algorithms (e.g., automated study guides, targeted nudges);
- Ideate, prototype, and productionize the machine learning algorithms that power Coursera’s product;
- Leading projects in working cross-functionally with product leads;
- Machine Learning discovery (e.g., personalized recommendations).
Requirements:
- Software Engineering experience a plus;
- Proficient with SQL and relational databases;
- Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience required;
- Excellent communication and project management skills;
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Physics, or related technical field required;
- Deep applied Statistics and modeling skills;
- Strong Python programming skills;
- Strong Machine Learning skills;
- Familiarity with consumer internet, especially in search and discovery, preferred.
