Our company is looking for a Billing Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry;
  • Basic billing;
  • Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to clients;
  • Assists in generating monthly billing statements;
  • Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents;
  • Performs other related duties as assigned;
  • Assist Project Analyst with any invoice or employee expense approvals;
  • Process Check, ACH, and Credit Card Payments;
  • Process any credits or revision to invoices as necessary;
  • Compile and maintain documents and records of all billings;
  • Handling customer and vendor requests on AR / AP related topics;
  • Create and help maintain a schedule of values for all applicable projects;
  • Assist with collection of receivables including providing any additional documents;
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision;
  • Process credit memos, additional billings and accounts receivable adjustments.

Requirements:

  • Superior attendance record;
  • Can work at a fast pace;
  • High school diploma required; Associate degree or vocational school training preferred;
  • At least 1 year of related experience required;
  • Knowledge of an Electronic Health Record System (EHRS) used in Healthcare for billing clinical services preferred; preferably in Behavioral Healthcare;
  • Ability and willingness to learn new topics, systems, and methods;
  • Prepare checks for payoffs, referrals, refunds, etc;
  • Maintain reports and/or logs of daily new and used deal activity;
  • Prepare, submit and monitor funding of bank contracts;
  • Experience with Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus;
  • Understand and post journal entries and vouchers that are necessary to support the billing functions and ensure accurate costing on equipment;
  • Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills;
  • Ability to multitask. Perform various other accounting responsibilities and business requirements as assigned;
  • Read and interpret legal documents;
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions.
