Process Engineer Intern Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Process Engineer Intern to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Application of best practices for Lean Manufacturing in the design to improve change-over efficiency;
- Standard Work Concept Programming Observe and work with concept Subject Matter Expert;
- Identification / design of a storage system for safe storage and transport of the change parts within the facility;
- Help design/improve assembly line layouts and flow;
- Measurement of change parts utilized on the parenteral fill line and the automated inspection machine;
- Assist in implementing new equipment on assembly lines (including performing capability studies);
- Provide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis);
- Help design and implement Poka-Yokes on assembly lines;
- Implement manufacturing controls on assembly line;
- Help improve ergonomics throughout assembly process;
- Help design and implement process improvements on assembly line;
- Collaboration with local machine shops during the procurement of the;
- Generation of dimensioned drawings of the equipment change parts;
- Create standard work for modules within Concept (routings, bom logic, bom item logic, etc.);
- Work with supply chain to improve inventory management.
Requirements:
- Strong technical writing capabilities;
- Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external clients at all levels of the organization;
- At least one previous industry internship or co-op;
- Minimum of a 3.5 gpa;
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with minimal guidance; a self-starter with the ability to build relationships across the company;
- Ability to multitask and plan/execute several projects simultaneously;
- Must have the ability to work independently and/or in a team setting with little supervision;
- Professional and positive communication skills;
- Experience in a GMP environment is a plus;
- Strong technical communication and interpersonal skills;
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related major) from an accredited college;
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Able to commit to a minimum of a 12-week internship;
- Familiarity with safety-critical process control;
- Able to commit to a minimumof a 12-week internship.
