Mold Maker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Mold Maker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare necessary prints and instructions to coordinate helpers as needed;
- Reading and interpreting blue prints;
- Plan and schedule jobs to meet quoted hours and delivery dates;
- Inspect products and select the correct shop equipment and tools to complete the job;
- Attend kick off meetings and provide input for design mold and build;
- Maintaining a clean work area;
- Train and guide assigned helpers as needed to ensure a safe working environment;
- Identify problems within the mold and create solutions;
- Responsible for the manufacturing and testing (usually visual) of all stages of the manufacturing process;
- Lead and supervise mold and R&D component construction according to instructions and engineering drawings.
Requirements:
- Able to plan and organize daily activities, analyze data and react to changes and challenges in the business;
- 5+ years of experience in tool maker position and tool design capability in manufacturing with proven ability to deliver desired results;
- Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms;
- Frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 85lbs or heavier;
- Able to commit to a 40- hour work week;
- Strong technical, business, and organizational skills;
- Punctual with reliable transportation;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential;
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs;
- Basic Math Problem Skills;
- Experience in a Quality Environment;
- Basic Computer skills;
- Experience working in a clean environment;
- Must have basic computer skills;
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
