QA Manager Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a QA Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Insures that project work requests meet company guidelines, regulatory expectations and product delivered meets the specifications provided;
- Prioritizes QA workload and sequence of projects tickets to minimize conflicts in the QA environment and to maximize efficiency of the QA process;
- Position requires solid understanding of clinical and/or financial processes, regulations and SDLC policies and procedures;
- Responsible for leading a team to understand the Software QA process prior to product release to production;
- Network and liaise with other QA professionals internally and externally;
- Hosting audits by Sponsors and Regulatory Inspectors in – CRO settings;
- Identify areas of QA risk and provide input on an effective QA oversight plan to mitigate the identified risk;
- Oversee the management of training, motivation and development of an excellent team of Quality professionals with the QA Team;
- Build strong relationships, effectively delegate tasks, and obtain results through others;
- Supporting the long-term career development of the members of the QA Team; helpingthem build their skills in software testing;
- Other items as deemed necessary;
- Working in conjunction with the engineering team to release high-quality functionality ona regular timeline;
- Challenge the effectiveness and sustainability of QA Programs to ensure efficiency and compliance;
- Develop an effectively functioning QA team with goals and values aligned with other site Quality and Compliance groups and Operations;
- Contribute to the development of the Quality Operations Operating Budget consistent with short and long term planning.
Requirements:
- Sovereignty when dealing with internal and external partners;
- Strong decision making and problem solving skills;
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills;
- Ability to uphold regulatory, company and customer standards;
- SQF Certified Expert, preferred;
- Knowledge of various pathogens and microbes associated with food production;
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Experience with performance and/or security testing will be a bonus;
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a QA department in a related industry required;
- Medical Device and or Phase 1 experience is a plus;
- Effective written communication skills;
- Solid experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases;
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically; excellent leadership and influencing skills;
- Good knowledge of SQL and scripting.
