Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Every other weekend and some holidays required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care (IMC) Acute Medical/Progressive Care setting and an IMC Thoracic unit
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms for oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown patients
Manage patients requiring ventilator support and transplant care
Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
Adhere to all unit protocols, compliance standards, and pass/fail testing requirements prior to start
Required Qualifications
Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in the applicable specialty
Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
Ventilator and transplant experience required
Must pass a telemetry examination prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; 100% identification of lethal rhythms required on adult exam)
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a Magnet-designated or academic medical center environment
Familiarity with both thoracic and progressive care patient populations
