Manufacturing Packer (1st Shift or 2nd shift)

Position: Packer ILocation: BataviaWage: $19.93/hour (+$1.00 shift differential)Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 4AM-2PM | 2nd Shift Hours: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM| Monday through Thursday (with some overtime on Fridays)Summary DescriptionWhile reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, this role supports the finishing department by packaging product to specification, assisting production flow, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.What You’ll Be DoingPackage product to meet all specified requirementsEnsure all nonconforming material is segregated, properly identified, and stacked togetherReport all unidentified non-conformancesSupport Gluers as a packer/inspectorPlace stacks of cards into gluer feed tables and/or catch glued product and place into casesInteract and communicate positively with other departmentsMaintain a clean and safe work area, including completion of sweep sheets at the end of each shiftFollow all safety and operational proceduresWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have strong mechanical aptitudeYou have at least 6 months of packing experience preferredYou are comfortable handling complex issues and solving problemsYou can lift and move heavy objects safelyYou can place cards into corrugated boxes (approximately 1 to 2 pounds depending on card size and stack)You can push at chest height (8 to 45 pounds)You can pull at waist height (5 to 10 pounds)You can reach/stretch 20 inches while holding approximately 5 poundsYou can handle cases ranging from 8 to 45 pounds depending on size and quantityYou can stand for 8+ hours per dayYou can work in indoor manufacturing conditions including heat, humidity, and production noisePhysical Work EnvironmentIndoor manufacturing environmentSummer temperatures can reach up to 100°FExposure to humidityNoise from production machinery (below 85 DSP)BenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
