Head of Construction Management Operations

Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a Scheduling Operations Manager to support our Railroad Field Services team. This role isfocused on leadingcomplex scheduling operations, coordinating utility inspectionsand railroad flaggingactivities, and ensuringprojects are executedsafely, efficiently, andon schedule. Asthe Scheduling OperationsManager, you willserve as thecentral point ofcoordination between internalteams, railroad personnel, contractors, clients,and third-partyflagging vendors, drivingcommunication, resolvingoperational challenges,and maintaining alignmentacross multiple stakeholders. Lead scheduling and coordination of utility inspections and flagging operations.

Manage scheduling teams, inspectors, and administrative staff.

Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and maintain workflow efficiency.

Coordinate with railroad personnel, contractors, clients, inspectors, and vendors.

Monitor project progress, staffing, and operational risks while resolving delays and scheduling conflicts.

Review schedules, reports, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Ensure all operations follow safety regulations, railroad requirements, and industry standards.

Serve as a point of contact for operational escalations, project coordination, and emergency scheduling support.

Analyze performance metrics and support process improvements.

Support employee training, coaching, and team development.

Maintain communication between field operations, project management, and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling/project management software.

15+ years managing schedules, inspections, or operations in utility, railroad, construction, engineering, or related industries.

Leadership experience supervising teams, inspectors, or field personnel.

Experience coordinating with contractors, clients, railroad personnel, and vendors.

Background in project tracking, compliance documentation, and operational reporting.

Experience improving workflows, resolving delays, and maintaining project timelines.

Familiarity with permitting, inspection processes, and regulatory compliance.
