Financial Comptroller - Remote

Financial ControllerColossal Contracting, LLC is looking for a financial controller to lead our finance and accounting teams. An ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in finance and have a background and high level of understanding of the federal contracting industry. This position will sit remote but will require monthly trips to our Annapolis, MD HQ. This position will report to our SVP of Operations and Finance.Acting as head of the accounting department, maintaining responsibility for the company's financial statements, GL, reporting, budgeting, treasury, inventory, procurement, job cost, payroll, AP, AR, tax compliance, and various special analyses.Managing the execution of all aspects of daily, monthly, and annual financial activities, with a focus on continuous improvement.Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, improving, and enforcing policies and procedures.Protecting assets and mitigating risk by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits, providing information to external auditors.collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data and KPI's.filing financial reports; Maintaining financial staff by assisting with the hiring process of new personnel as well as orienting, and training employees.Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.10+ years of experience in accounting within the federal contracting space.MBA or Masters degree in accounting or finance preferred.Experience managing accounting tasks and staff.Thorough knowledge of all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.Experience with an accounting system.Experience working with QuickBooks Enterprise SolutionsExperience working with SalesforceGenerally tech savvy, including proficiency in Excel and WebEx TeamsExposure to government reselling and various billing platformsTravel:None, this position will sit remote with occasional travel to our Annapolis, MD HQ.This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:30am-5pm.Competitive base salaryPaid Time-Off100% Employer paid Health, Vision, Dental insurance for Employee401kColossal Contracting, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) who takes pride in supporting our customers and country.
