Construction Project Engineering I

Spence Brothers, a General Contractor and Construction Manager, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Traverse City team. This role provides the opportunity to be part of a dynamic construction team, assisting with project coordination, document management, and subcontractor communication.

Manage submittal process for project(s)

Track and make follow up calls to subcontractors and architect

Visit project jobsites as needed

Contact subcontractors and coordinate their submissions

Assist with document management

Facilitate document scanning and storage into Procore

Participate in drawing and specification review process

Develop Value Engineering ideas and create logs

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

Proficiency with industry standard scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc)

Able to use hand to finger, reach with hands and arms, handle to feel objects or tools, be able to climb ladders, scaffolding and forms

Work in weather conditions common to this area including heat, cold, rain and snow
