Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to laboring and postpartum patients in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
Administer medications, IV therapies, and other ordered treatments in accordance with facility protocols
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic health record
Respond to obstetric emergencies and support NICU-level care coordination as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills specific to obstetric care
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience working in a facility with a Level III NICU
Familiarity with high-acuity obstetric cases and emergency delivery situations
Previous travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
