Temporary Interpreter

Interpreter

An Interpreter facilitates communication between current students who are deaf or hard of hearing in all academic aspects of the university experience, including but not limited to classroom lectures, academic advising, field trips, and internships.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree is required.

Two (2) years of directly related experience is required. Equivalency: Education or native-like ASL skills may substitute for experience.

Level III Requirements

National Interpreting Certification is required and the interpreter must be a member in good standing.

Full Interpreting License is required and must be maintained.

Level II Requirements

Temporary Interpreting License is required and must be maintained.

Must be actively working towards National Interpreting Certification.
