Patient Safety Attendant

The Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) participates in high-quality, patient-centered care by providing continuous observation and monitoring for high-risk patients. In collaboration with the patient care team, the PSA ensures the patient environment is free of obstacles and minimizes risk of falls and accidental or intentional self-harm. Watching patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well-being

Identifying risks such as falls or self-harm and promptly alerting the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients

Documenting patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift

Honoring patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times
