This role is offered by McElroy Manufacturing, Inc. for 2nd shift (Mon - Thurs 4:30 pm-3 am), with an 11.5% shift premium on all hours worked.

As a Manual Machinist, you’ll work hands‑on with metal parts using tools such as the Bridgeport Manual Mill, lathes, and other precision equipment — crafting each piece with care and accuracy.

Perform your own setups and create custom workholding for unique parts

Machine high‑mix, low‑volume parts with precision and care

Inspect your own work to ensure top‑quality results

Strong measuring and inspection skills

Comfort working independently on one‑of‑a‑kind or small‑batch parts

Physical ability to stand, bend, and move throughout most of your shift

Capability to lift and move parts up to 50 pounds, using lifting devices when possible

This position is safety‑sensitive because it involves one or more of: handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous material; repairing or monitoring equipment, machinery or manufacturing processes that could cause injury or property damage; handling or transporting volatile, flammable, combustible materials or chemicals.
