As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with oncology patients, their families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.A caregiver in this position works days from 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements.Provide direct nursing care.Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red CrossOne year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experienceCompletion of an ONS Chemo/Bio Course within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administeredPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)Oncology experiencePhysical Requirements:Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.The policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
