MIG Welder/FabricatorWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will prepare, cut, assemble, and weld various metal components and structures using MIG welding equipment. You'll interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate and consistent fabrication of quality metal products.Shift: 6:30 to 3:30 Monday Thursday Friday 7:00am-11:00amPay: Starting at $20ph and will be based on weld test and interview resultsKey ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, patterns, and schematics to lay out metal parts accuratelySet up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) per job specificationsOperate MIG welding machines, adjusting settings (amperage, voltage, gas flow) to produce clean, strong weldsTack weld, fully weld, grind, finish, and weld components to form complete assembliesPerform drilling, cutting, tool assembly, and other shop operations as neededInspect welds during and after fabrication to ensure they meet quality standards and specificationsMaintain clean, organized and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPEPerform preventative maintenance on welding equipment; report or fix minor issues as neededQualifications & SkillsHigh school diploma or GED (or equivalent)Formal MIG welding training or completion of an apprenticeship; AWS certification is a plusMinimum 6-12 months of MIG welding experience in a production or fabrication settingAbility to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawingsStrong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and visual acuityGood physical strength and stamina; able to lift up to ~75 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, stoopExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving capabilityStrong commitment to safety and proper PPE use at all timesPreferred Qualifications (Optional)Experience with TIG or stick weldingForklift experience/certificationAbility to mentor junior welders or apprenticesPrior experience working in structural or architectural metal fabrication
