LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a friendly, dependable, and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Phlebotomist in Mableton, GA .

In this role, you’ll work directly with blood donors and help create a positive donation experience while supporting LifeSouth’s mission of providing a safe blood supply to the communities we serve.

Provide a welcoming, positive experience for blood donors while helping support a lifesaving mission

Perform phlebotomy and collect blood from donors in accordance with LifeSouth procedures and safety standards

Conduct donor screenings, including interviews and physical assessments, to help determine eligibility

Register donors and accurately document information throughout the donation process

Learn to operate automated blood collection equipment and perform apheresis procedures once trained

Educate donors about donation options and help identify opportunities for automated donations when appropriate

High school diploma or GED

Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays

Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to make donors feel comfortable and cared for

Ability to read, understand and follow written procedures and instructionsPrevious customer service experience is preferred

CDL holders are preferred, with additional compensation available

LifeSouth is a non-profit community blood bank serving more than 150 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
