Job Title Medical Lab Technologist – Salmon Creek Medical Center, Vancouver, WA

Work Schedule 2‑week rotation: Week#1: Sun, Wed, Thu, Fri

Week#2: Wed, Thu, Fri, Saturday 3:00PM‑1:30AM

Job Responsibilities Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.

Function as a generalist across hospital laboratory departments.

Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.

Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.

Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.

Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.

Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.

Assist with processing of specimens when needed.

Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science or Medical Technology.

ASCP or AMT certification.

Preferred Qualifications 1year or more clinical laboratory testing experience in Blood Bank.

Additional Job Standards High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Exceptional customer service.

Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.

Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Pay Range $32.00 – $49.00 per hour.
