The VOE Quality Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our team's response to customer verification requests. This is a vital position in maintaining our company's reputation for excellent customer service. Our VOE Quality Auditor will be responsible for carrying out in-depth review of manual verifications and effectively communicating results to our team members. Perform detailed audits of Verification of Employment (VOE) requests, ensuring accuracy of employment data including employer identification, income, tenure, and supporting documentation.

Identify discrepancies, anomalies, or potential quality risks within completed verifications and ensure they are clearly documented and escalated as needed.

Ensure all audited files meet internal quality standards and client-specific requirements prior to final delivery.

Perform audits within defined turnaround times to support in-line, pre-delivery quality control processes tied to SLA performance.

Maintain a strong understanding of employment verification methods (verbal, written, third-party vendors) and associated risk considerations.

Ensure adherence to all applicable data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements when handling borrower employment and income information.

Conduct and manage the quality review process of completed customer requests and responses.

Liaise with team members to provide feedback and quality improvement suggestions.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging quality assurance practices to ensure continuous improvement within the department

A minimum of a high school diploma is required, associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in mortgage verifications, VOE processing, or quality control/audit functions preferred
• Familiarity with mortgage lending processes, third-party verification methods, and employment verification vendors is a plus
• Experience working in a quality assurance, audit, or production review environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply process guidelines, documentation standards, and quality requirements consistently

Proven knowledge of credit verification, employment, and/or transcript procedures and quality assurance standards.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Excel.

High attention to detail and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Traditional office environment with low-to-moderate office noise (computers, phones and business conversations). The position may be remote from main offices.

Manual dexterity for computer work.
