Our Human Resources team is a service-driven, collaborative partner to all departments. We are looking for a Human Resources professional who thrives in a relationship-focused environment and is ready to contribute to a mission-centered organization. To support collaboration and strong partnerships, this role is based on-site at our Headquarters office located on River Drive in Moline, IL. Regional travel, mostly to IHMVCU locations, as needed.

You will support key HR functions including payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, leave of absence management, and employee relations. Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations is essential, and reporting/analytics skills are highly preferred.

We are hiring for either a Human Resources Specialist (3+ years of experience) or a Senior Human Resources Specialist (6+ years of experience, typically Exempt). High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources

Creates a warm, approachable atmosphere that encourages employees to seek guidance and support both in person and through remote communication channels

Strong employee relations skills

Reporting skills along with HRIS experience

Administer payroll with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

Lead or support full-cycle recruiting, from job posting to onboarding, while helping create a positive candidate and new hire experience

Coordinate and monitor leaves of absence (FMLA, ADA, personal leaves, etc.)

Partner with employees and leaders to provide guidance on HR policies, performance, and employee relations matters

Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and credit-union-specific regulations

Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate reports to support decision-making

Contribute to HR process improvements and employee experience initiatives

Build collaborative relationships across departments by serving as a responsive, approachable and service-focused HR partner
