Description
American Traveler is hiring a RN for a PACU position requiring an active OH or compact license and 2+ years of RN experience.
Details

• Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 8:30AM to 6PM using a 4x9 work week
• 13-week assignment with 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend call required one day (Saturday or Sunday) every 6 weeks
• Night call required 4-5 times per 6-week schedule

Requirements
Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50-100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling
Additional Information
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
Notify physicians of pertinent changes in patient status
Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to co-workers and nursing assistants
Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible documentation of care provided
Work in an environment with potential exposure to electrical equipment
