Clinical Staff Educator - Day Shift

The Clinical Staff Educator reports to the Clinical Education Department Manager and provides education and instruction focused on clinical staff. This role acts as a resource for all staff regarding healthcare education and training programs, introducing technical and theoretical concepts in teaching techniques to staff and others as needed. The Clinical Staff Educator supports the development of education in collaboration with department managers and clinical nurse coordinators, and is proficient in simulation training using mannequins and software.

Accept responsibility for directing and planning activities.

Foster teamwork and cooperation among staff.

Support the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.

Assist with Quality Department activities as requested.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in nursing (or equivalent experience and National certifications with a commitment to obtain a bachelor's degree within three years of hire).

Current Oregon RN license is required.

Healthcare Provider CPR, CNOR, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Minimum of 5 years of hospital nursing experience, with at least 3 years of OR experience.

Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and internet use.
