South Pointe Hospital provides comprehensive surgical services to meet the needs of patients above the age of 14. There are currently seven Operating Rooms (ORs) that run daily, which include two DV5 robots, one endovascular suite, and extensive gynecology, urology, and bariatric service lines. By joining the OR team an RN, you will cover a variety of services and provide care to both ambulatory patients and inpatients. Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources.

A PRN caregiver in this position works varying days from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with on‑call requirements. Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.

Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care of patient before, during and after procedure.

Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Med/Surg nursing experience

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
