Head of Manufacturing Accounting

Location: Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday) Chicago, IL

Interview Process: 2-3 steps
Base Salary: Based on Experience + 30% bonus + Equity at transaction (approximately one-third of base salary) + Ability to build and shape the accounting function
Skills: Accounting, Close, Reporting & Audit, External Reporting, Internal Controls, Compliance & SOX Readiness, Process Improvement & Systems Modernization, CPA
Own and lead the accounting function and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Establish and enforce clear accounting policies, procedures, approval hierarchies, and controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
Drive consistent execution and accountability across accounting, ensuring service levels aligned with operational and supplier/customer needs.
Lead the preparation and review of all external reporting deliverables, including periodic filings (10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K) in compliance with SEC requirements and U.S. GAAP.
Ensure complete and accurate disclosure of financial results, MD&A, footnotes, and supplemental schedules consistent with public-company standards and investor expectations.
