Physical Therapist (Full-Time and Part-Time positions)
Physical Therapist Salary Schedule
Full-Time: 190 days / Part-Time 19 hours max. improves, develops, restores or maintains a child’s motor function in educational environments, functions as “related service personnel” under state and federal law regulations.
Educational Level: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the State of Georgia; Experience: Prefer one year clinical experience in physical/occupational therapy including pediatrics
Physical Activities: Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities
Treatment planning specific to pediatrics
Interventions such as facilitation of developmental motor skills
Postural awareness, ambulation and gait training
Adaptation or modification of equipment
Environmental assessment
Recommendation and monitoring of orthoses and assistive devices
Prevention of initial or additional deformity or disability
Provide direct and indirect physical therapy in education settings
Collaborate with other personnel regarding physical therapy and the students’ needs
Train/instruct teachers, parents and paraprofessionals in delegated techniques and equipment use
Travel to and among schools to provide services
Lift, transfer, and position children and equipment as necessary
