One of our clients is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Detroit, MI for the 2026-27 school year. CLIENT'S HOURS * Monday - Friday * Standard school hours SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY * Cooperate with teachers, parents and community members. * Enhance teaching team practice and grow professionally. * Provide alternative force choice and creative assessment for students. * Enable field studies to improve classroom curriculum * Offer input and assist grade level, subject matter and leader led conferences. * Oversee school uniform ad discipline policies. * Develop parent and family involvement in school life and curriculum * Engage and lead professional development programs. * Offer individual help to students to ensure satisfactory progress. * Synthesize with colleagues on school activities to ensure academic success * Discuss with parents on student progress and academic achievements. * Counsel students during academic and adjustment problems. * Design curriculum as per the needs of the students. * Take corrective measures to enhance student-learning abilities * Instruct students on proper use of equipment, materials, and textbooks. * Maintain inventory of instructional materials, aids and equipment. * CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Possess a bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools or an equivalent agency * Must posses a valid Michigan teaching certificate, Cognitive Impairment (SA) endorsement or Autism Spectrum Disorder (SV) endorsement DTG ADVANTAGES * Establish a relationship with one of the nation's largest referral agency for behavioral-health. * Client temp to perm negotiable COMPANY OVERVIEW Delta-T Group's mission is to provide cost-effective, reliable referrals, and innovative referral solutions, for the social services, behavioral health, allied health and special education fields, for the betterment of independent behavioral health professionals seeking new opportunities and those needing care and support.
