Phlebotomist/Lab Assistant | Full-Time | Days | Christwood | Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: 5:00a - 1:30p; Tuesday: 6:00a - 2:30p | Rotating Every Third Saturday: 7:00a - 1:00p
Phlebotomist | Full-Time | Days | 7 On/7 Off | 6:00am - 5:30pm
Phlebotomist | Full-Time | Days | ED/Inpatient | 7 On/7 Off | 7:30am - 7:00pm
Phlebotomist | Full-Time | Days | 7 On/7 Off | 9:00am - 8:30pm
Phlebotomist | Full-Time | Nights | 7 On/7 Off | 7:30pm - 7:00am
Phlebotomist | Part-Time | 12-Hour Shift Every Other Weekend
Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture or capillary puncture from adult, pediatric and neonatal patients employing proper patient identification and infection control measures. Enters test requests into the laboratory computer system. Performs other support duties such as answering the phone, handling questions from medical/hospital staff, ordering supplies, and investigating discrepant patient orders. Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. Must possess good physical health. Tammany Health System staff member is expected to conduct himself or herself according to our mission, vision and values.
