Pharmacist - Flex

Hamilton Community Health Network Inc

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations and in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer and CEO, this position compounds or dispenses prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals to patients ensuring accuracy while maintaining the overall flow of the pharmacy functions and overseeing Pharmacy Technicians. The requirements include patient service, medication distribution, inventory control systems and the knowledge of pharmacy operations.
Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.

~ Supervises pharmacy staff engaged in mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurances, security of controls substances, and disposal of hazardous waste drugs.
Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication, and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory.

Conforms to all State and company regulations, policies, work practices and instructions.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Michigan and have a minimum of three years of experience with current knowledge of pharmacy laws. Experience in retail/community practice setting preferred.
