With expertise in various areas of law, we ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and protect our clients' interests. Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Business with respect to the structuring, sale, negotiation, documentation and execution of a wide range of equity products, with a primary focus on OTC equity derivatives and swaps, cash and synthetic prime brokerage, equity and fund-linked loans, structured notes and proprietary indicesAdvise and assist in the creation, structuring, regulatory analysis and launch of new products and businessesInterpret, educate and assist with the implementation of regulatory changes that impact Equities businessesAdvise the Business, Risk, Compliance and others internally regarding legal and regulatory issues, developments and risks relating to Equities businessesAssist with ongoing advocacy efforts relating to regulatory changes impacting Equities businessesRequired QualificationsStrong experience with equity products, including OTC derivatives and swapsFamiliarity with ISDA and other industry documentationFamiliarity with corporate, securities, creditor, finance and bankruptcy laws and related issuesStrong organizational, analytical and time management skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills -- ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively with all levels of staff and managementAbility to work independently and respond proactively to business needsStrong team player Nomura
