Head of Project Management Department

Project ManagerAt Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), the Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all facets of assigned projects from initiation through final payment. This role ensures hardware schedules, shop drawings, and contract requirements are executed accurately and efficiently while focusing on quality, cost control, delivery timelines, and customer satisfaction. The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving project success through technical expertise, strong communication, and effective problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ExecutionLead the development and oversight of hardware schedules, ensuring alignment with project specifications, timelines, and contractual requirementsDirect and review the preparation of shop drawings for wood doors and hollow metal systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with design intentOversee interpretation of architectural specifications related to doors, frames, and hardware, providing guidance to internal teams and stakeholdersProvide strategic input on project budgets, billing, and cost control, making discretionary decisions to support financial performanceTrain, mentor, and support Assistant Project Managers assigned to projectsProject Delivery & PerformanceProvide technical oversight into the interpretation of architectural drawings, ensuring accurate identification of doors, frames, hardware requirements, and related specificationsReview and approve submittals and manage change order processes, ensuring alignment with project scope and profitability objectivesMonitor and ensure alignment of engineering and production activities with project scope, timelines, and quality standardsInternal CollaborationPartner closely with Engineering and Operations teams to maintain schedules and implement revisionsProvide support for manufacturing-related issues as neededKeep management informed of project status, risks, and key issuesCustomer & Vendor CoordinationServe as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and vendorsRespond to technical and non-technical inquiries in a timely and professional mannerMaintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure materials meet project specificationsAdditional Responsibilities & MiscellaneousPerform other duties as assigned to support Project Management and corporate objectivesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experiencePrior project management and technical experience in construction, doors, frames, or hardware industry preferredStrong understanding of engineering principles, specifications, and industry standardsExperience with business development concepts is a plusExcellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and quality orientationEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced problem-solving and analytical abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering/software toolsCompensation and BenefitsReports ToBranch ManagerCompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position.
