For more than 20 years, NetX has continued to grow and innovate, and we are looking for the right person to grow with us as we expand our customer base. NetX is seeking a Systems Engineer to help maintain, improve, and scale our SaaS infrastructure. In this role, you will troubleshoot system issues, implement long‑term solutions, and contribute to the reliability, performance, and security of our platform. You’ll work closely with a collaborative engineering team in a flexible environment inspired by the Shape Up methodology, where communication, ownership, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Manage and monitor systems, infrastructure, and application environments.

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and software.

Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.

Support cloud, containerized, and virtualized environments.

Participate in on‑call rotation for operational support.

Occasionally perform physical hardware tasks onsite at a Portland data center.

Associate degree or equivalent work experience.

5+ years of experience administering Linux-based systems.

3+ years of experience with application stacks such as Tomcat, Apache, or NGINX.

3+ years of cloud experience, preferably AWS.

Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or VMware.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Icinga, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.

Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, OSI layers, and firewall management.

Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms.

Java

Experience working with digital media workflows or Adobe Creative Suite.
