As the Civil Engineer, you will: perform general engineering work involved in the review of capital improvement and development engineering and construction projects to ensure compliance with City standards.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, and a minimum of five years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Engineer License preferred. If P.E. license is not from the State of Texas, selected candidate must obtain Texas Registered Professional Engineer license within six (6) months from the date of employment. Applicants with an engineer-in-training certificate with five (5) years of relevant experience may be considered with the requirement of obtaining P.E. license within one (1) year from the date of employment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation and MVR check.
Must possess valid class C driver's license.

• 80 hours per year up to the completion of 5 years of service
• 120 hours per year up to the completion of 10 years of service
• 160 hours per year from 11 years of service forward

Sick Leave Accrues at the rate of one day per continuous month of service for full-time employees for a total of twelve (12) days per year. Can be taken after six months of employment.
