We are seeking an immigration attorney to advise and represent individuals and families navigating immigration matters. The ideal candidate will combine strong legal analysis with compassionate client service and efficient case management.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct consultations, evaluate eligibility for immigration benefits or relief, and develop case strategies.

Manage immigration matters from intake through resolution.

Prepare and review applications, petitions, legal briefs, declarations, and supporting evidence.

Represent clients before immigration agencies and immigration courts, as authorized and assigned.

Prepare clients and witnesses for interviews and hearings.

Respond to requests for evidence, notices, and other agency or court communications.

Research legal issues and monitor changes affecting active cases.

Supervise and review work prepared by paralegals and legal support staff.

Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely filings.

Explain legal options, case developments, and next steps to clients.

Coordinate with criminal defense counsel when criminal matters may affect immigration cases.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Active membership in good standing in a U.S. state or District of Columbia bar, with eligibility to practice before the applicable immigration agencies and courts.

Immigration law experience preferred, particularly in family-based matters, humanitarian relief, or removal defense.

Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to manage a substantial caseload and competing deadlines.

Sensitivity to cultural differences and experience working with clients facing stressful circumstances.

Spanish-language proficiency is a plus.
