Join a team that inspires long-term transformation and hope.About the RolePrepare and serve well-balanced and nutritious meals for clients/special events. Provide support in various areas, including but not limited to dishwashing and minor food shopping.What You'll DoPrepare/serve food for Covenant House clients/special events.Clean and sanitize dishes/kitchen utensils.Provide assistance in the development of daily menus.Complete production sheet on a daily basis.Strictly follow sanitation, hygiene, and food handling standards as per Department of Health and Hygiene.Promptly report equipment and food quality or shortage problems to the Kitchen Supervisor.QualificationsHigh School diploma/GED and Certificate in Food Protection required.Culinary school diploma a plus.2-3 years' experience in the food service industry.Highly skilled in food preparation and presentation of food.Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, and dining room personnel.Ability to consistently comply with our standard portion sizes, and cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, recipes, policies and procedures.Knowledgeable in the proper technique of food preparation.
