Registered Nurse Weekend - Emergency Department

RN - Emergency Department (ER/ED)

The ER is large and busy. Travel experience is required (hard stop), manager prefers travelers with at least 3 ER contracts completed. Screen if 1-2 completed travel assignments. 36 or 48 Hour Guarantee! Minimum experience: 2 years; 1st timers not accepted. Patient population: Adolescents to geriatrics. Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS Required. General skills and work setting requirements: General emergency department (non-trauma); very large and busy with high acuity; Stroke and STEMI certified. Ratio/census: 1:4 ratio; 59 bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day. Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis. Scrub color: Navy blue. RTO: Max 7 days. RTO blackout dates: Spring break (April 4th-12th). Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere. Floating: Rare but within facility/scope of practice as needed. Call requirements: Not specified. Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day. Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
