Our executive search firm is conducting a search for a manufacturer of ready-to-eat sous vide products.
Position Overview: The Quality Control Manager is responsible for all quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) functions, including USDA/FDA product labeling and compliance, and overseeing the company's SQF certification. The successful candidate will manage all food safety and quality prerequisite programs, including the supplier approval program, customer complaints, HACCP (USDA and FDA), SSOPs, GMPs (including daily sanitation compliance), allergen program, and continuous training.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Microbiology, or a related field
Five or more years of experience working in food safety and quality
Experience working with proteins and ready-to-eat products
HACCP, PCQI, and SQF/BRC Certifications
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance for HACCP, GMP, USDA, and FDA requirements
Working knowledge of foodborne pathogens and food spoilage microorganisms
Experience in a USDA-inspected food manufacturing environment
