The Line Cook at Boca West Country Club plays a crucial role in our culinary team, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to deliver a memorable dining experience to our members and guests. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency.

Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, cooking equipment, and storage areas.

Monitor inventory and ingredient levels, communicating any shortages to the kitchen manager or executive chef.

Follow food safety protocols, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures.

Support other kitchen staff in various culinary tasks as needed, including prep, plating, and cleaning.

Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance cooking skills and culinary knowledge.

Responds to requests for service and assistance.

Contributes to building a positive team spirit.

Follows policies and procedures.

Asks for and offers help when needed.

Uses equipment and materials properly.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or country club setting.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and food safety standards.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Dexterity and strength to operate kitchen equipment.

Fast-paced kitchen setting with a focus on teamwork and collaboration among culinary staff.

Occasional long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate member events and functions.

Responsibility for multitasking in a high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
