Overview
Electrical Estimator will be responsible for the delivery of cost estimates of Electrical and Instrumentation Installations.
Responsibilities
Read scope of work and deliverables needed for RFQ.
Read and interpret Electrical & Instrument discipline engineering drawings and specifications.
Provide detailed Electrical & Instrument estimate support for assigned projects.
Perform detailed Electrical & Instrument estimates for Industrial Construction projects.
Estimate, solicit, negotiate and finalize prices for materials, supplies and sub-contractors.
Create proposal for projects to include assumptions & clarifications.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of Industrial Electrical and Instrumentation Estimator experience.
Team player able to work effectively with other estimators, engineers and project manager.
Electrical Industry Standards knowledge.
Excellent written/ verbal communication skills.
Comfortable with fast-paced work environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and documentation/ procedural skills.
Must pass a Background and Drug screening.
Safety and detail focused.
Preferences
Electrical estimator experience in petrochemical or industrial plant.
Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word.
Degree or certifications associated with job role a plus.
High school or equivalent (Required)
Working conditions are as follows
Position Type: Full Time
Range: Permanent - 90-day Probation
Travel: Minimal
Physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs/ladders and safely negotiate areas under construction.
