Employee performs phlebotomy and routine tests in a medical laboratory and maintains records. Work is performed under general supervision.
Performs phlebotomy and processing of specimens to be sent to outside labs.
Primarily assist in the phlebotomy room to draw blood.
Restock the phlebotomy area as needed.
Assist 6th-floor lab technician for if needed assistance and backup.
Cleans and restocks laboratory facility.
Excellent telephone skills and etiquette. High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in phlebotomy of at least one or more years is preferred. Medical terminology is required.

Computer Skills:
Must have knowledge of Medical Software and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Strong PC skills and well-versed in using Internet applications.
Work may include extended periods of time viewing a computer video monitor and/or operating a keyboard.
