As a Cook, you'll bring energy, teamwork, and attention to detail to every shift. You'll be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality food according to our recipes, standards, and procedures while helping create a clean, safe, and welcoming restaurant environment.

Preparing and cooking food to recipe specifications and Fresquez quality standards.

Following all food safety, sanitation, health, and personal hygiene requirements.

Setting up and maintaining your station for a successful shift.

Monitoring food quality, temperatures, portions, and presentation.

Properly cleaning and maintaining cooking equipment and work areas.

Following food production procedures to ensure consistency and freshness.

Using food, supplies, and equipment responsibly to minimize waste and loss.

Working closely with your team to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Helping create an exceptional guest experience through great food and teamwork.

Guests may not always see everything that happens behind the scenes, but they can taste the difference when food is prepared with care, consistency, and pride.

Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Food safety driven and food service experience.

Responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications.

Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas including ability to check and complete daily temperature logs.

Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and/or griddles, slicer, etc. Prepare and serve beverages.

Read food order slips and/or screens or receive verbal instructions to cook to specifications.

Verify prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.

Clean, stock and restock workstations, display cases, etc.

Ability to work under pressure and to be flexible and adept at varying and changing demands.

This job operates in a fast-paced restaurant setting and is frequently subjected to heat, steam, fire, and noise. This role routinely uses standard restaurant equipment such as: ovens, cook tops, griddles, deep-fat fryers, grills, microwaves, sharp tools/slicers, as well as other equipment as necessary.

Physical or Environmental Demands:

This is an hourly position. Scheduled hours vary by restaurant needs, including necessary adjustments during high and low seasonal changes. Typical days and hours of work for this position are Monday-Sunday 5am-12am (varying shifts). Other days/hours required, including holidays, as needed or assigned.

Restaurant experience preferred.

Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices.
