Mechanical Technician IIThe Mechanical Technician II works with a variety of tools and machinery to make or repair parts, components, sub-assemblies, and complete systems. The ability to comprehend and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, as well as diagrams, blueprints, and other technical documents is a critical part of the position.Technicians must have an aptitude for mechanics and an eye for detail. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret charts and graphs.Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving known and unknown variables in existing and new situations.Working Conditions:The employee is required to stand and/or sit while performing repetitive tasks for extended periods of time. The employee must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception. Work is performed on a manufacturing floor. Employee must follow proper safety protocols.
