CRNA Position at Riverside Regional Medical Center

Riverside Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and an opportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

The CRNA is responsible for:

Pre-anesthetic evaluation.

Preparing an appropriate health history, conducting an appropriate physical exam, requesting pertinent diagnostic studies, selecting, obtaining, ordering, and administering pre-anesthetics medications.

Obtaining informed consent for anesthesia, anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence.

Performing preoperative and intra-operative care.

Obtaining, preparing, and using all equipment, monitors, supplies, and drugs used for the administration of anesthesia, performing, and ordering safety checks as needed.

Selecting, obtaining, or administering the anesthetics, adjuvant drugs, accessory drugs, fluids, and blood products necessary to manage the anesthetics.

Performing all aspects of airway management, inserting peripheral venous catheters, and managing Bier Blocks.

Providing appropriate non-invasive monitoring modalities utilizing current standards and techniques.

Evaluating patient response during emergence from anesthesia and instituting pharmacological or supportive treatment to ensure patient stability during transfer.

Providing post anesthesia follow up evaluation of the patient's response to anesthesia and surgical experience.

Initiating and administering respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the post-anesthesia period.

Initiating and administering pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system during the post-anesthetics.

Requirements

The CRNA must:

Have graduated from an accredited program in nurse anesthesia education.

Be certified or recertified by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

Be licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of Virginia.

Have at least one full year (12 months) of experience as a CRNA.

Possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.

Role Overview

The role includes:

Target start date: ASAP

Lodging/housing stipend: $107/daily

Car Rental/Mileage Stipend: $250/weekly

Site Name: Regional Medical Center

Duration of Assignment: 13 weeks

Estimated Privileging Timeframe: 90 days

Hours information: 10-12 hours, Monday-Friday

Required Call: Weekend call In house

CRNA to MD ratio: 3:1

Case Mix: Level 2 trauma center; OB experience is a plus.

Completion bonus: YES - ($10k completion bonus after 520 hours)
