Facility: MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group
Location: MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC
Provide outpatient psychiatric care within the hospital setting, including admitting patients, performing psychiatric examinations and evaluations, ordering and conducting tests, diagnosing, performing hospital rounds, and planning for discharge.
Coordinate family education with nursing staff, ancillary staff, and other resources.
Receive outpatient referrals from Primary Care Center and/or other departments.
Provide support and expert assessment to critical care medicine, internal medicine, primary care, and other specialist physicians in the overall delivery of care.
Maintain progress notes using established guidelines and follow all HIMS policies for maintenance and signing of medical records.
Doctor of Medicine (M.Completion of 48 months of ABPM‑recognized and ACGME‑accredited Psychiatry Residency Program and 12 months of ABPN‑recognized and ACGME‑accredited Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship Program.
License to practice medicine in the District of Columbia.
American Board Certification in Psychiatry and American Board Certification (or eligibility) in Consultation‑Liaison Psychiatry.
