Registered Nurse Weekend - Emergency Department

Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room

Minimum experience: 2 years; 1st timers not accepted

Patient population: Adolescents to geriatrics

Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS

Required general skills and work setting requirements: General emergency department (non-trauma); very large and busy with high acuity; stroke and STEMI certified

Ratio/census: 1:4 ratio; 59 bed ER averaging 165-175 patients per day

Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis

Scrub color: Navy blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

RTO blackout dates: Spring break (April 4th-12th)

Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

Floating: Rare but within facility/scope of practice as needed

Call requirements: Not specified

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below:

Labor Day

Thanksgiving/Black Friday

Christmas Eve/Christmas Day

New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
