Head of Operations & Business Management

Search Solution Group is seeking an Operations Manager on behalf of our client, a leading music publisher. The Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring the efficient flow of products from receiving through shipping while driving operational excellence, process improvement, and team development. This leadership role is responsible for optimizing warehouse performance, implementing scalable processes, leveraging automation and AI technologies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continued business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic, data-driven leader with a passion for continuous improvement and building high-performing teams.

Lead all inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory management.
Ensure accurate inventory management through cycle counting, stock monitoring, and inventory control procedures.
Monitor key operational metrics and utilize data to drive performance improvements and operational decision-making.
Develop capacity planning strategies to ensure consistent on-time and accurate order fulfillment.
Build, coach, mentor, and develop warehouse team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance evaluations, training, workforce planning, and employee development initiatives.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, SHEQ, and all applicable safety and quality standards.
Partner with Sales, Procurement, IT, and Production teams to align distribution operations with business objectives.
Develop scalable distribution strategies that support business growth and seasonal demand fluctuations.
Champion operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives and technology adoption.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of experience managing warehouse, distribution center, or supply chain operations.

• Proven experience leading and developing teams with direct management responsibility.
• Experience implementing warehouse process improvements, automation, or technology solutions.
• Experience working with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment operations preferred.

Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and business intelligence dashboards.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification preferred.
Warehouse operations and distribution best practices.
Inventory management and cycle count methodologies.
Supply chain logistics and fulfillment operations.
ERP and Warehouse Management Systems.
Continuous improvement methodologies.
OSHA, DOT, and SHEQ compliance requirements.
