Painter IMMEDIATE START

PainterSmith Industries is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Painter to support our fabrication operations. This role is responsible for preparing vessels and fabricated products for painting and performing touch-up work to ensure finished products meet quality and safety standards.Responsibilities:Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, wear required PPE, exercise stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe, and immediately report all incidents, accidents, or safety concerns to a supervisorPrepare vessels and other Smith Industries products for painting and touch-upPerform surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, inspecting, masking, and tapingPrepare products for painting by blowing down with air, wiping with thinner, and cleaning surfaces as requiredPerform touch-up painting to correct imperfections and ensure product qualitySafely use small hand tools and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Prior experience in industrial painting or paint preparation preferredStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipBasic knowledge of hand tools and surface preparation techniquesCommitment to safe work practices and hazard recognition (JSA experience a plus)Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
